A visit to Valdobbiadene can only start from piazza Marconi where the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta stands. Inside there are precious works of art, created by artists such as Francesco Beccaruzzi, Paris Bordon and Palma il Giovane. Outside, it is difficult not to be enraptured by the bulk of the bell tower (designed by Francesco Maria Preti) and decorated with a beautiful sundial.
From the center of Valdobbiadene, along via Piva you arrive at the magnificent Villa dei Cedri immersed in its small natural park: an oasis of tranquility and serenity. From there you can then continue through the Cordana road to get to the wash house and the Capitello dedicated to San Venanzio Fortunato.
<img src='/sites/default/files/tour_valdobbiadene_san_floriano.jpg'>If you want to appreciate Valdobbiadene, the advice is to reach the church dedicated to San Floriano. The hill on which it is located is full of luxuriant vineyards and from the top you can appreciate a beautiful panoramic view over the entire valley below. Beautiful by day but even more special by night. Upon returning to the center, you can visit the church of San Gregorio Magno, an ancient Capuchin convent.
The Prosecco Superiore Circular Route is a nature trail of approximately 15 km in length that winds its way past vineyards, cottages, wineries, woods and villages in the Valdobbiadene area. It is a great way to get to know the local wine, food, culture and traditions.
The route leads tourists on a journey of discovery through the renowned villages of San Pietro di Barbozza, Saccol and Santo Stefano in the famous land of Cartizze.
The numerous dirt roads, paths and mule tracks criss-crossing the Monte Cesen area are perfect for interesting walks and hikes of various levels of difficulty and elevation gain. Many of the paths link the provinces of Belluno and Treviso. A prominent part is played by the TV1 path, which goes past the Malga Mariech agritourism establishment and joins together two important mountain areas: Grappa and Cansiglio. The Monte Cesen area is a Regional Nature Reserve. The distinctive environmental features provide an opportunity to contemplate both the natural and the ethnographic characteristics of the mountain landscape. Hikers can stay in the emblematic local shepherd’s huts, where they can sample a range of traditional mountain products
